I’m an economist in Washington DC who writes primarily about public policy. I’m president of Capital Policy Analytics, a consulting firm that does research on issues related to public policy and financial markets.

I am a Senior Fellow at the Jack Kemp Foundation and help run the Savings and Retirement Foundation. I am also a member of The Prosperity Caucus. I am a contributing editor to Regulation Magazine and a writer for Forbes, and my work occasionally appears in Real Clear Markets and The Hill. I occasionally blog on non-policy-related items at my Pro Bowl Blog. I was born and raised in Mossville, IL and attended Augustana College and Indiana University.
